Strengthening finances may not sound like an adventure, but for Enduimet WMA, it became the foundation for stronger conservation and empowered communities. From July 17 to 19, the CWMAC Finance team led an intensive in-house coaching session with Enduimet’s WMA team. Over three days, we guided the renewal and setup of their QuickBooks accounting system, posted and reconciled backlogged transactions, and provided hands-on coaching in record-keeping and financial management.

The results went far beyond a balanced ledger. Staff members gained confidence in handling finances, transparency was greatly improved, and the WMA team returned to their daily work with renewed clarity and energy. With proper financial systems now in place, Enduimet is better equipped to manage conservation funds accountability and ensure that community benefits like revenue shares or development projects are delivered reliably.

It was a powerful reminder that even behind-the-scenes work, when done well, can ignite real change. Strong financial systems turn good intentions into measurable impact, empowering communities to protect wildlife while building resilient futures for themselves. This quiet finance success story has made conservation efforts in Enduimet more sustainable – and that is a victory for all our supporters who value accountability and impact.
